Service Description: <div><b>Custodian:</b> RecFIT</div><b>Data source:</b> \\adspw\data\ReCFIT\RecFIT Core Data.gdb\Generation_Storage *<div><br /></div><div>Service contains 2 layers: </div><div><ul><li>the point location (approx) of the proposal sourced from the RecFIT Teams List <a href='https://stategrowthtas.sharepoint.com/sites/REAPEnquiryManagementSystem-ReCFIT-Energy' target='_blank'>https://stategrowthtas.sharepoint.com/sites/REAPEnquiryManagementSystem-ReCFIT-Energy</a></li><li>the proposal footprint as a polygon, sourced from the Commonwealth EPBC site <a href='https://gis.environment.gov.au/gispubmap/rest/services/ogc_services/EPBC_Referrals/MapServer/0' target='_blank'>https://gis.environment.gov.au/gispubmap/rest/services/ogc_services/EPBC_Referrals/MapServer/0</a> or from the developer's website</li></ul></div><div><br /></div><div>RecFIT, as the agencies policy co-ordinator for renewable energy development, maintains a centralised dataset of known proposals and tracks them as they go through the various stages of planning approval.</div><div><br /></div><div>RecFIT works with developers and other government agencies, to acquire general details of a proposal, the developer, the technology and the proposed power output (mega-watts). Links are provided to the full proposal details as lodged with the various authorities, such as the EPA, Tasmanian Planning Commission and the Commonwealth EPBC. These links provide additional information around planning assessments.</div><div><br /></div><div>Proposals are classified by their technology type - Battery, Hydro (redevelopment), Pumped Hydro, Solar, Wind^.</div><div><br /></div><div>Proposals are tagged by their current approval status - Approved (not yet built), Concept (only), Operating, Seeking Approvals.</div><div><br /></div><div>Symbology (legend) is based on the technology type and approval status.</div><div><br /></div><div>Depending on the proposal and its scope, the pathway for planning approval is provided - Combined Level 2 EMPCA/Council DA, Combined Level 2 EMPCA/Council DA (Call In), Development Application, Major Projects, Not available (yet), To Be Confirmed.</div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div>^ The dataset also includes currently operating wind farms, as these provide context to other planned wind projects.</div><div><br /></div><div>* Temporary, until a feature class is created in the RecFIT schema in the Enterprise Geo-database, SpatialP, which will allow reliable feature editing (by RecFIT staff) and secure storage of the data.</div>
