Description: Named features within Tasmania, compiled for the purpose of providing a search service. Point and line features have been buffered to provide a polygon for return of search results. This layer has been built up from publicly available data sources maintained by the LIST (Land Information Service Tasmania) and other layers maintained by Mineral Resources Tasmania. Using this layer for searching has the advantage of returning a polygon feature for search results, which is particularly useful for long irregular linear features, or for identifying property boundaries.
