Service Description:

This is a group layer consisting of the following datasets:

  • Geological Lines 25k - Includes separate datasets for Faults, Contacts and other Linear features. Geology and structure data derived from existing reports, 1:25,000 1:50,000 and 1:63,360 scale printed maps, new field mapping and interpretation of aerial photography and airborne geophysical data.

  • Geological Polygons 25k - Geology and structure data derived from existing reports, 1:25,000 1:50,000 and 1:63,360 scale printed maps, new field mapping and interpretation of aerial photography and airborne geophysical data.

  • Geological Lines 250k - Includes separate datasets for Faults, Contacts and other Linear features. Geology and structure data derived from 1:50,000 and 1:63,360 Digital Geological Atlas printed map series and 1:25,000 digital geology data where available. Geological units and boundaries have been generalised and compiled for 1:250,000 scale.

  • Geological Polygons 250k - Geology and structure data derived from 1:50,000 and 1:63,360 Digital Geological Atlas printed map series and 1:25,000 digital geology data where available. Geological units and boundaries have been generalised and compiled for 1:250,000 scale.

  • Geological Lines 500k - Includes separate datasets for Faults and Contacts. Derived from higher resolution mapping and generalised for 1:500 000 scale display.

  • Geological Polygons 500k - Derived from higher resolution mapping and generalised for 1:500 000 scale display.
