Description: Borehole features across Tasmania derived from the Borehole Database, derived from the Mineral Occurrence Database, which is a component of the Tasmanian Information on Geoscience and Exploration Resources (TIGER) system; administered by Mineral Resources Tasmania (MRT). Borehole features are shown subdivided into several individual categories (Engineering Geology, Fuels, Geothermal, Groundwater, Metallic Minerals, Non Metallic Minerals and Stratigraphic) which define the main purpose of the borehole. The summary borehole data includes: name, the purpose, drilling method, operator, driller, date drilled, start point the borehole length, elevation datum, positional accuracy, azimuth, dip, geographic location and if the core is held by Mineral Resources Tasmania. A Details field provides a link to a Drilling Details page where further information may be available. Additional metadata can be found here
